took me long enough! if you want to make your own crochet dress for new year's like i did last year here is the low-down:

i forgot to put on there that this is all double crochet, so it goes fast and is really warm. you can change yarns every row like i did, or you can do all one color, or color block it, or wide stripes, or ethereal fuzzy rodarte-esqe rows. i have no idea how much yarn it takes. a lot. but it goes pretty quick and you'll get these cool sort of sculptural puff shoulders without hardly trying.
i am currently working on #2 of this design. it will be a bit less full on the bottom this time. the above dress is just silly huge.

Hey that's really cool! No one who's ever tried to teach me how to crochet has been a generous teacher (they all went "it's like this" and crocheted really fast) so I have never learned. I should try knitting a dress though haha. Looks like fun :)
